Garden Party

Brewed 2010-07-05 First new brew in a six months - but worth it for the all grain! I had to build a wort chiller and a manifold, but you-tube (of all places) helped. Cheers! Show Edit
racked 2010-07-08 Primary fermentation was lightning quick - probably because temps in our apartment have been 82-85 this summer. Gravity at racking was 1.015... I added all the crystal hops that I had (~ 3 ozs) to the secondary - I have yet to overhop a beer but this may do it, even as dry-hopping. Try it and see! Show Edit
Comment 2010-07-17 Secondary fermentation has been steady - my carboy is almost full and there are lots of hops so you can easily see bubbles around the neck. Nonetheless, the gravity is still hovering around 1.013; it hasn't really been doing much change in gravity despite the constant fermentation. I was hoping to get this bottled in time for Nikki's wedding, but I'll have to give it to her afterwords. Oh well! The flavor is still a little "homebrewy", meaning a little too malty sweet, and I'm hoping that letting fermentation finish completely will work that out of the mix. Maybe, maybe not. Show Edit
comment 2010-10-03 Out of stock! I guess I gave too many of these away, and drank the rest too fast. Solid all round. Show Edit
