There's still some sourness, but it's interesting. It's not true to form as a drinkable lager with that, but it still tastes good. Not going too fast in the fridge, though. And I probably wouldn't share it with someone. ::shrugs:: |
Mash Style: All Grain
Brew Style: Classic American Pilsner
Ingredients for 5 gallons (19 L):
- 8 Pale Malt, 8 lbs base lager malt
- 2 Pale Malt, 2 lbs rice
- 1 Zeus Hops, 60 min - bittering
- 1 Crystal Hops, 5 min - flavor
Instructions:
Standard mash - add 2.5 gal water (180 deg F) to 10 lbs grain and let mash for an hour in a basic step mash; then boil. Add 1 oz zeus hops at 60 min for bittering and 1 oz crystal hops at 5 min for flavor.
OG: 1.034
FG: 1.001
Percent Alcohol: 4.47%
